Update on Orchard Funding Group
Recent share price weakness, and letter to the CEO & Chairman of the Board requesting a share buyback
Orchard Funding Group (ORCH) is a UK insurance premium finance lender, which I previously wrote up here: financing car and other types of insurance policies for insurance broker’s customers, trading at just over 50% of book price currently. Almost all of it’s loan book is in <1 year duration loans, so it does not have interest rate or duration risk. I’ve written to the CEO and chairman of the board, Ravi Takhar to explain why I think that now is the best time for a share buyback, with the shares having reached an all-time low near 40p.
